  All nucleotide locations are given according to the numbering scheme of Strosberg [77].

The amplified and cloned adrenergic receptor fragment (1242-2639) covered the entire coding region of the receptor, which starts at bp 1264 and ends at bp 2505 (see sequence on table tab:seq). Three additional sequence primers were used. The primers 1490, 1740 and 1890 resulted in readings starting around the positions 1560-1620, 1780-1820, and 2050-2090, respectively.
